Herein lie the stories sung of Nikhil when the world was young.

Finally got around to replacing that tail light. Two thumbscrews, one normal screw, and ba-da-boom, ba-da-bing, ba-da-fuoco.

Turns out that the NovaMenco CD I lent to John Wargo really whet his appetite for their brand of flamenco fusion. He bought that CD plus 2 others and lent me the others to audition. Looks like I may have to buy them as well! They have taken a similar path as my favorite, Ottmar Liebert, by adding a horns section and strings. Just like Luna Negra XL. Zesty times 2!
In other news, job frustration is at an all time high at the office. Names, naturally, withheld to protect the meek. I may be posting some pretty surprising stuff soon. Or not surprising if you are a close enough friend. ;)

Got a scary looking warning light when making the afternoon coffee run. Turns out that the Solara can detect when lights go out, and a tail light had gone! Very clever!
Props also to CrawDaddy for spotting it on the way out of the parking lot and verifying it.

Dad and I headed out to Sam's annual golf outing (entitled "Unlimited Mulligan" for those who don't know). A lot of fun, and far too much food after the front 9.
Our group came in 3 under par (thanks in no small part to Jay - Sam's Bro-In-Law), but Sam's group won with a 6-under score. There were also a couple foursomes with 4 under. I should mention it was scramble format. We actually used a good number of my shots, especially my redo of the famous 180-yard driving iron shot from the other outing.
Thanks also to Sam and his family for inviting us out for a post-game dinner party. Tons of fun, and I even learned to play Bocce. (Not very well, mind you.) Props to everyone, plus the Wolcott gang that stayed on for the party - Elaine, John/Anna, Charlie, and Jeff.

CrawDaddy and I worked pretty damn late in the new high-tech lab today. The freakin' WinNT 4 Workstation PC would not work right and I swear I'm about to bust some heads at Microsoft.
Or I could just be apathetic. I'd decide what to do now, but I really don't care.

Nikhil's Day in Salem:
- Drove to Salem without getting lost
- Picked up chicky.
- Got lost on the way to another town. This was a good thing [wink].
- Went to Alliance instead.
- Saw American Wedding - funnier than hell, and a little gross.
- Drove back to Salem
- .......... CENSORED - Priority Access Required ..........
- Went home. Zesty.

Did a little work with Willtronic this morning, reprising my role as AccessMan. Props to him for whipping up some tasty blueberry pancakes, and to his lovely wife for some nice eggs. I may just get spoiled.

Time to see The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. So guess what? Not as bad a movie as I had guessed. Peta Wilson looked quite hot, and even Sean Connery was not sticking out like a sore thumb. It was interesting to see Captain Nemo as an Indian patriot - perhaps that is how he was in the original Jules Verne novel, but sadly, I've never read it. Good fight scenes and some decent humor. I'd give it a 3 out of 5.
