Herein lie the stories sung of Nikhil when the world was young.

06-28-2003, late-afternoon [BF]

A round of golf with the Night Train. ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. Hit 6 greens in regulation and par'ed 5 of them. Even landed a couple par 3 tee shots within a few feet of the pin.

Props to the Night Train for the insane killer putts of the day. As they say, short game is key. He even sank a 30+ foot, S-curved PGA Tour-style putt. And, right after saying "Watch this," no less!

06-27-2003 [BF]

This is the first time that the outside temperature gauge in my car has hit 3 digits. Wow!

06-25-2003, far, far too latenight [BF]

First night for Mike the Intern to join us. A pretty good time was had by all.

06-22-2003, mid-afternoon [BF]

Another round of golf... Did pretty well. Par'ed 3 holes out of 9.

06-19-2003, mid-afternoon

Guys, sorry for not sending out the e-mails, but I will be joining the movie crew for the Hulk expedition tomorrow. I'll be in touch.

06-18-2003, afternoon

Talked to Brian via e-mail. I'm going to have to sit it out tonight. This will likely cause Brian to smack me next time he sees me. No fun for me. Lots of fun for him!

06-18-2003, way, way, way too early

Well, getting sick after eating at McDonalds is not surprising, but it is not fun either. I hope I'm feeling better by tonight. Don't want to miss the gig.

06-17-2003, pre-lunch

I kicked that cert test's ass!!! I finished out the test in around 40 minutes after reviewing a few questions for a second pass. The test allots 1 hour and 45 minutes total time. As luck would have it, the test was pass/fail! This makes me angry since I had to have at least 87-95% correct minimum. Oh well, now I'm an MCP.

One test down, 12 to go. Once I'm done, I'll have my MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA, and possibly my MCAD. That's a lot of letters!!!

06-16-2003

Signs are looking good for Ashley to join us this Wednesday to sing... Very zesty indeed.

Oh, and I take my Microsoft "Active Directory Administration and Implementation" exam tomorrow. Wish me luck!...

06-15-2003

Took Dad out for a round of golf. We did pretty well, but the rain near the end of the round was annoying. We said screw it, and just played the round out. We're such pro's...

06-13-2003

Oh, and I'm jealous of Bret's new 100lb amplifier. Is it worth buying from him... I dunno, but signs point to yes, as the 8-ball used to say.

06-12-2003

The band gig yesterday was quite sweet, once it got going, which sadly took a while. We really got out of the groove for a while. Not really any good reason, just got into a funk, I guess. (The bad kind.)

Since the departure of our singer, Jim, I have taken that role over again. For the first time last night, though, I put down the guitar and just stood in front of the mic and sang. Was a little strange at first, but then I started to dig it.

06-11-2003, pre-lunch

I found out that the strange Matrix Reloaded posters were the international ones, so they will be renamed as such on the other hacks page.

06-11-2003, midday

Rest, Neo. The updates are coming.

Note that backfilled entries will be noted from now on as [BF].

06-10-2003 [BF]

Oh no! With great sadness, I must announce that Jim will not be singing with the band on a regular basis any more. He has too many things he's trying to do, and of course, something has to give. We'll miss having him with us, and hopefully, he'll stop by from time to time.

06-09-2003 [BF]

Major props to CrawDaddy for keeping it young. I think he knows what I mean. I have yet to see the target, however.

06-08-2003 [BF]

Went up to Cleveland to practice with the guys, and again, my life took a cartoony turn.

My cell phone ran out of batteries, and I didn't know Brian's new room #, so I just sat outside the building entrance for almost an hour, and then finally gave up and headed out to meet Amanda.

06-07-2003 [BF]

Ick.

06-06-2003 [BF]

Picked up my clubs this morning. Wow - I must say it'll look totally bad-ass to be playing with Callaway irons.

06-04-2003 [BF]

Tons of fun at band tonight. We played a lot and had a nice girl show up from Nashville, believe it or not. Now get this: she's from Nashville, living in Cincinatti, doing interviews in Cleveland, and she was enjoying our playing.

It gets scarier. She liked our freestyle spanish/bluesy jams so much, she recorded us on her cell phone to take home with her, and even suggested we record ourselves, to start writing original songs. Wow.

Our first groupie. Sigh.... Bring on the VH1 special!

And, of course, props to Jim for awesome freestyling tonight, as well as Brian and I too... ;) Special encore props to Brian - he knows why.
